But finally, we are seeing hope. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is now on its way to be distributed to countries around the world.

BioNTech is a German biotechnology company founded by Dr. Ugur Sahin and his wife, Dr. Ozlem Tureci, who are both German of Turkish origin. Dr. Sahin was born in Turkey. His family immigrated to Cologne in Germany when he was at the age of 4 where his parents worked at a Ford factory. Dr. Ozlem Tureci was born in Germany. Her parents were Turkish physicians who immigrated from Istanbul.

Kamala Harris named Time Person of the Year
She said, “While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last.” The inspiring message was sent to all the girls: “This is a country of possibilities… regardless of your gender, dream with ambition, lead with conviction, see yourself in a way that others may not… we will applaud you every step of the way.” Let us extend these words to all our socially responsible governments and enterprises around the world. Let us not be afraid to dream and do something that others may not see us do.
Kamala Harris has been chosen by Time Magazine as Person of the Year 2020. Harris has made history to become the first woman, first black, and first South-Asian vice president-elect in the U.S. Harris is a daughter of Indian and Jamaican immigrants – Shyamala Gopalan (Mom) and Donald Harris (Dad). Her mom was born in India and got her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Her dad was born in Jamaica and immigrated to the U.S. to get his graduate degree, and eventually became a professor at Stanford University.
