Gen Z: The workers who want it all
The term “Generation Z” describes people born after 1996. They are the most diverse, global and connected generation in history. Gen Z is also the most entrepreneurial generation ever. They are constantly seeking new opportunities and ways to make their mark on the world. are the ones who were born between 1997 and 2012. They are the group who is open to leaving their employers if their needs aren’t met. This generation is not content with simply having a job; they want a career that is purposeful and fulfilling. They are willing to put in the hard work to achieve their goals, but they also expect their employers to provide them with opportunities for growth and development. Some of these needs include more time off, bigger pay cheques, flexibility to work remotely and value alignment. And they are willing to work hard for the right employer. Miss Universe makes ‘inclusive’ change to increase diversity
Did you know that until now, only single women with no kids could apply to the world-famous pageant?
In recent years, the Miss Universe pageant has been under fire for a lack of diversity among its winners. In an effort to be more inclusive, the organization has announced a change to its rules. Moving forward, contestants will no longer be judged solely on their physical appearance. Instead, they will be evaluated on their platform, social media following, and an interview portion. This change is aimed at increasing diversity and giving more women of all backgrounds a chance to win the coveted crown.
Apparently, there are many rules to lay out who can and cannot compete. Starting in 2023, a new rule will come into effect for the 72nd Miss Universe; this means married women and mothers can compete for the first time in history. Virgin Radio UK explains.
