If you watched the inauguration of Joe Biden, it was not hard to notice there was one theme throughout the day – Diversity.
The United States is the world’s largest economy with a nominal GDP of $21.44 trillion, which constitutes one-fourth of the world economy.
Biden & Harris’ emphasis on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion sends a strong message to the world leaders, governments, employers, supervisors, HR professionals on topics covering LGBTQ, businesses, governments, diverse hiring, education, workplaces … and let us not forget .. the redefined ‘girl power’.
Biden issued an executive order expanding LGBTQ nondiscrimination protections.
In terms of government, the cabinet of the Biden administration could be one of the most diverse in American history.
In terms of how to run the business, President Joe Biden administered the Oath of Office to his appointees in a virtual swearing-in ceremony – talking about trust, diversity and respect. “I’m not joking when I say this: If you ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. On the spot! No if, and or buts.”
In terms of education, one of President Joe Biden’s first executive orders signed was to reverse the ban on certain federally funded diversity and inclusion (D&I) trainings.
In terms of workplaces, President Biden signs directives to promote racial equity, champion pandemic measures.
And lastly, how Kamala Harris redefined ‘girl power’.
