March 8 is International Women’s Day and Holi
March 8 is International Women’s Day
The 2023 United Nations’ International Women’s Day theme is DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality. Gender equality is a fundamental human right and an essential factor in creating a peaceful, stable and flourishing world. Gender equality is when people of all genders have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities. Everyone is affected by gender inequality – women, men, trans and gender-diverse people, children and families. It impacts people of all ages and backgrounds. The gender gap in access to technology continues to hold women back from developing their full potential in computer science. Their underrepresentation in STEM education and careers is a major barrier to participation in tech design and management. Tune in to the UN Observance of International Women’s Day at 10 am ET on 8 March.
