As we cheer for our Olympic athletes around the world, and start counting the number of medals won by each country, have you ever thought about what the Olympic medals are made out of?

The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) and citizens of Japan collected small electronic devices such as used mobile phones from all over Japan to manufacture the medals.
